Huge risks of Arizona immigration law

Maybe we should be asking ourselves why we have an illegal immigration problem in the first place.
Imagine... Addressing the cause, rather than a symptom.
If you're so inclined, you may sign this petition asking Eric Holder to block Arizona's racist law.

What I want to know, is:
1) why people aren't freaking the fuck out over the federal immigration law, when AZ's new law is almost a verbatim representation?
2) why aren't we leaning on mexico to clean their corrupt asses up so that the standard of living doesn't leave people so desperate that they are forced to live on slave wages in a foreign country?
3) why do we think that it's okay to let people come over, have unscrupulous, cheap ass business owners paying them 10 bucks a day and justifying it? Just because it is more than they would be making in mexico DOESN'T MAKE IT OKAY.
Honey, I was hoping you'd weigh in on this, being an Arizona resident.
Until this whole thing went down, I didn't know it was a federal law - of which I still don't agree with.
And #'s 2 and 3, I couldn't agree with you more.
You may know all of this, but during WW2, the U.S. gov't began bringing over "illegal" immigrants from Mexico to harvest the rotting crops in the fields, because most of the men were in the military and deployed - and it never stopped.
Then a little farther back, we have the Rockefellers (and other U.S. industrialists) who harvested Mexico's oil. And farther back than that, just after the Mexican - American War and California was made part of the U.S., gold was discovered near San Francisco.
Two of our greatest cities were built on Mexico's resources. And even though that's the way it went, it's history and thus context.
I'm not condoning Mexico's corrupt practices, but in Mexico's history, there have been some bad cards dealt of which the U.S. was dealing out...
What to do now? I have no idea...
