Criminals

Church, deaf students square off on Italian TV

For Years, Deaf Boys Tried to Tell of Priest’s Abuse

Pope's Immunity Could Be Challenged In Britain

They're criminals and should be treated as such. And giving to the catholic church isn't just condoning these vile, heinous acts. It's sponsoring them.

And the other priests that they told? The three archbishops of Milwaukee, the two police departments and the district attorney?

They're accomplices.

NO ONE should have immunity from crimes.

No one.

Not ever.

This is heartbreaking and tragic for the innocent children, now adults who have this hanging over them. It's also extremely horrific to think these atrocities are so wide spread.

I pray something is done soon to halt these criminals and their accomplices. What they've done and continue to do gives Christianity as a whole a bad name.

To the priests, bishops, cardinals, Pope, etc. You should all be ashamed. All it takes is one bad apple to spoil the bunch.

Amen.

I found this piece to be a helpful contribution to this discussion:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8604800.stm

The Catholic church needs to open discussion on sexuality, and embrace critique as if it were a lifeline ....because clearly, something isn't working.

Not to mention the effect this has on all Catholics. The members of the Catholic Church who perform public/community service daily with such loving devotion should be outraged to have their faith treated with such dishonor by their "leaders". Shame indeed.

This is a horrible heart breaking thing to have happen in the Catholic church.

Being Catholic myself it outrages me. But I have always felt, my child will be with me, not left alone with a priest where something like this could happen.

But I hate this statement, "And giving to the catholic church isn't just condoning these vile, heinous acts. It's sponsoring them."
because I do give to the Catholic CHurch every week and I so do not condone the behavior!
