William Bezek's "Wormwood Hollow"
Yo, what's up, dawgs? I'm here to pimp out my ho. Dang.
Actually, Will has created himself an on-line gallery, which is VERY cool. It's called: "Wormwood Hollow" (HOW'd you guess??) and he has a collection of some of his paintings, sculpture and Halloween art (Halloween to us is like gay Christmas) for sale there.
Please forgive me if you've noticed me advertising it in my sidebar.
And Thomas in Arizona! Thank you so much for your purchase! We hope that you enjoy the little bats.

I think that they are extremely cute as well. And Thomas? Thanks so much for telling Will to "poke Kevin for me", it turned into a brawl. So, thanks for that. You may have had something different in mind when you said, "poke", but we've been together for almost 6 years now, which translates to almost 42 years in gay years, so the only "poking" that's going on is irritating...and is usually followed by hair-pulling and scratching. And not in a fun way.
So, if you're so inclined to visit Wormwood Hollow or know someone who might be, we will be much obliged.
I LOVE the idea that he can represent himself. And is doing so...Needless to say, I'm very proud of him; of his immense talent and his courage.
Some examples, you ask? Well, funny you should mention that, I have some right here:

"Love" Oil on canvas, 18 x 24
Artist's note: "One of a series about love. It reminds me of life in wartime."
And...I'm hungry now.
Kissing AND cake?? I don't think it gets better than that.
Or does it?
Hheelllllooo, Mister...

"Vegas" Oil on canvas, 36 x 18
Artist's note: "Inspired by the pool paintings of Hockney. Painted with bold brush work and bright colors, this figure study of a bronzed male in wet shorts floating around the pool is titled "Vegas". The cropping of the head in my composition was to depersonalize the figure, furthering the idea of sexual eye candy. This painting is also about tension. Surface tension of water, sexual tension, tension of fabric straining, tension in a clenched fist."
And...I'm hot now.

"The Joker". It measures 10 inches tall, consists of composition clay and finished in oil paint and paste wax.

Artist's note: "The painted face had some personal meaning to me when I did it. Since the sad death of Heath Ledger and the media constantly running pics of him with The Joker make up running down his face, this sculpture has taken on a new meaning, so I'm calling it 'Joker'."

And...I'm melancholy now.

"Happy?" Oil on canvas 26 x 32
Artist's note: "Very surrealist. Thick impasto style brush strokes, very colorful."
And...I'm pensive now, wondering if I'm happy with all the masks I wear...
Artist's partner's note: "Art makes me hot. Woof."

Ok seriously. Your house must rule with all that humor and art in it
I love that last one!
I bet it's nice to know that something in your house measures 10 inches.
That's a penis joke.
Already marked his shop as a favorite seller.
You know I LOVE Will's stuff. Well, and your stuff too, you know in that Angelina Jolie-sister/brother sort of way. ;)
Wow. Will! Every time I see a new piece I am blown away...
I love that "Vegas" piece and "Joker"...so talented.
brilliant, I say. BRILLIANT! ok, fine...I'll stop being a voyeur stalker and come out to comment...
The "poke" comment was an affectionate reference to a rib poking. not a whiz-wang poking, Miss Charnas (you so nasty)...
Halloween = Gay Christmas, and if you don't believe him check out the halloween elf in the black and orange tights with the tangerine boa, top hat and Elton glasses.
Kevin- thanks for the entertainment with your blog; your humor and writing rival William's art. seriously, you are both brilliant. ~"Thomas in Arizona"
The bats are cute little suckers. I love 'em.
Will is lucky to have you Kevin. Not a lot of partners would be so supportive of their artists. You are wonderful
Oooh! Sweet. I just found my Mother's Day present to myself (I have to get my own - everyone forgets. Assholes.)
Wow! He's so talented!
I've never seen 'candy box sculptures' - we just don't do that kind of thing here in Britain.
But nice!
So jealous of the bat owner!
Oh my goodness, Kevin! Will is so talented. I especially love the "Vegas" painting...it reminds me of Dalí's earlier years...before he was full on surrealist. The tension was already obvious in his work, and then the coloring as well reminds me of Dalí. Seeing Will's work makes me really miss studying Art History and Pop Culture.
