It doesn't matter who they think you are. It matters who you think you are.

The World Wide Web

What if I told you that EVERYTHING; every sensitive being, everything that you know is alive and even the things that you don't, were ALL inter-connected?

That the immense, intricate web of life leaves nothing excluded.

Not rocks, not sand, not dirt.

What would you think?

How would you act? Or re-act?

Would you change your behavior once contemplating these notions for awhile, if you knew that your well-being depended on the well-being of others? Of ALL others?

Not even the "evil" excluded?

That there is no such thing as "us" and "them"?

What would you do?

How would you think about how every thought you have and every word you speak and every action you perform has imminent consequence on EVERYone and EVERYthing else and inevitably you?

How would you live?

How would you love?

How would you BE?

I'm pondering and I'm wondering and I guess that I'm just asking...

I'd do more good. Or figure out how to make someone give me a gaggillion dollars or invent a blowjob machine.

Probably nothing different - soryr, but with a few billion people involved in this web I figure my little wiggle wouldn't be noticed much at all. (besides, I don't do much anyway)

Furious - HHAA!!! damn it. Those are excellent ideas.

Joe - Actually, I'm sorry that you feel that way. You're as big as you think you are. And whether you like it or not, you DO make a difference. Either way...

Kevin, if you told me that....I'd have to agree that you're right. The Butterfly Effect is real. Whether you believe it or not.

a blowjob machine really DOES benefit everyone.

I think I would think I would think of myself less. Knowing that what I did for someone else meant more

Like a cyborg?

I've always thought that I would be a much better person if I could afford it.

You don't see all of these celebrities doing their charity work when they're broke.

Give me some cash and I'll change the world.

In the meantime, I try to do the right thing. It lets me sleep at night.

I'm stuck on the blowjob machine; the logistics...

Anyway.

I think even the smallest courtesy, a bit of kindness can impact others.

I think I'd be less afraid.

I wish that everyone would just realize that my penis is really their penis and that they should all just give me blow jobs all the time because I can only see it helping humankind and all of creation in the long run.

Seriousness first: This is a great question, and wish more people would ponder it. Frankly, I do try to live this way each day because I'm pretty sure that something (likely the stupidest, most thoughtless idiotic thing, but I'll try to stay positive) will eventually stick with my students.

Ludicrousness next: Blowjob machine. *sigh* Flutter is so right, it would be a grand help for all of us...

It makes more sense to me than most anything else.

The philosophical stuff, I mean.

Well, the BJ machine makes a lot of sense too - in it's own way! Plus, you can never underestimate the power of a good one, or a bad one for that matter!

Bossy would begin with a Giant Nap. Oh never mind, she's doing that already.

Um.

I'm made from the same basic material as the computer I'm typing on, the desk I'm sitting at and you. We are one, interconnected at our most basic level.

However, I can only be as connected to you or my desk or the snotty little woman at the gym as I am to myself. When I learn to connect with myself with kindness, I can connect with the universe.

Besos.

I already live that way 'cause I was raised Methodist before they lost their souls and joined the fag haters. I no longer "do" organized religion, but I still strive to follow the words of Methodism's founder, John Wesley:

“Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.”

I'm a big ol' dyke so will only say of the blowjob machine that if it is safe and makes people happy, it's a good thing.
