Suzie Chong
***UPDATE ON THE FUCKING UPDATE***
Yahoo Mail isn't working, it's down. So, I can't email ANYONE to tell them otherwise, nor can I open it to see if there are any questions for Miss Chong. If you planned on calling, please try again at 1pm Pacific Time. Thank you and my apologies.
I've killed 3 people so far and I'm not done yet.
***UPDATE***
Blog Talk Radio has their times all fucked up from the time change. So, they have 12 noon Pacific Time being an hour from now, which will actually be 1 pm Pacific Time. I've decided to go kill someone.
***End of highly agitated Update***
Okay, so Sayre has brought up some good points. I should probably give you some background on the character, Suzie, so that it might make it easier for you to ask her specific questions.
These are characters that I've created from scratch. They already have a solid place in the play and as an actor and the writer, I have my instincts about them. However, when I've performed in the past, I've written bios on the characters (what I knew from the information provided in the script, combined with my own intuition and interpretation of that character). I feel that a bio provides a more well-rounded, fuller character.
So, I haven't written the bios on these characters yet. And I thought that this might be a more engaging way to learn more about them; thinking on their feet, when asked questions.
I'll tell you what I know about Suzie Chong.
*Suzie is probably late 40's, early 50's.
*She's from Beijing.
*She works in Housekeeping at General Hospital.
*She's VERY devoted to the Chinese Free Evangelical Church that she belongs to.
*She's a very intelligent, driven woman. However, certain things get a little bit mixed up in translation.
If you're so inclined to call in and ask a question, you can do so here: (718) 664-6802
And if you prefer not to call in, but still have a question for Miss Chong, you may ask it in the comments section of this post or you may email me. I'll be taking those questions right up until the interview.
You can listen to the show by clicking on the button right here:

This show will be archived if you happen to miss it live.
I think that I'm going to go vomit now.

Thanks for the background - that helps.
My question: Susie, what is the most disgusting mess you've ever cleaned up off the ER floor?
Now, go brush your teeth, and be sure to gargle.
Thanks for the UPDATE - at least I'm not losing my mind. Been questioning my entire understanding of DST and the time continuum as a whole. Guess I've got a good excuse to put off that Home Depot trip for another hour.
Thanks for the question, Amy! Sorry about this. Hey, what the hell is with DST anyway? Is it really still necessary?
If you want to still go to Home Depot (I'm truly flattered that you want to stay...honestly), it will be archived, so you can listen later...
Susie - are you married? Have kids? Why are you working at a hospital? Have you seen someone die? How did that affect you? Are you able to leave your work at work and have a totally separate life once you get home? What are your hobbies - are you a gardener?
Oh, there's lots of questions. I will try to listen (if I haven't missed it already... damn time change). Will Susie clean up Kevin's vomit?
Sayre - thank you, I just burst out laughing with that last question. I needed that, thanks sweety-pie. ;)
Hmmm... can't seem to hear the show on the computer. Weird. I shall keep trying.
You'll be fine, Kev. Mic fright isn't as bad as stage fright (and I've done both). You're just talking to someone - you can do that, right?
Did Susie get that mess cleaned up?
;)
I'm actually working today (all by my lonesome in the office) so I was planning to listen to the show while I work. I logged on at 3:15 eastern time and it said "Show starts in 45 minutes". So I came back at 4:00 and now it says "Show starts in 104 Hours 22 Minutes." Is it all fucked up or is it my computer? Or me?
...or maybe Blog Talk Radio hates the Mac and/or Firefox. Those bastards!
OMG! You have the sweetest voice! Thanks for adding fuel to the fire with my crush for ya! :)
Sayre - Thank you for the pep-talk. :) After I dialed in, I was fine. But, listening to it was rather painful. Suzie cleaned it all up after she slipped in it.
Susan - I'm sorry that you're at work on a Sunday. That sucks, no? And...I'm sorry about the confusion with the radio show. It is ALL messed up. And you didn't miss anything, it was like chewing nails.
Mommiebear2 - thank you...I needed that. :)
