Umm...WHAT???
Often times in blogland, the comments are worth reading just as much as the original post. And so many of you are completely hysterical and I ALWAYS look forward to reading the comments. Whether you're appalled at what I'm writing about, or whether you're twisted and understand me, or have a vastly different opinion, I welcome ALL comments and views, honestly.
There were two comments posted last night by Pendullum that are CLASSIC and I felt deserved a front line post. I was afraid that they would get buried and many of you wouldn't have the luxury of reading them.
She wrote them in response to "That's Not Chocolate..."
And here they are, authored by the brilliant Pendullum:
"YEARS ago BoyWonder and I were traveling through Europe in a rented car from Paris, and the way license plates go there are if you have a 75 in front you are from Paris maybe 96 Marseilles you get the idea etc.
Anyway we were traveling when the French were deciding if they wanted to join the European Union... Maastrecht! And we were in Nice when the vote went down... and the North, the Parisians overwhelmingly voted in favour of the union... The south did not...
And while Boy Wonder and I had sweet French dreams floating through our heads oblivious to the turmoil... Some very angry person from Nice was on the hood of our car and shit on the passenger side window...
Any relatives of Wills or Yours????
I howled at the statement...My lover was on the otherhand was simply horrified...as we drove through Nice looking for a carwash..."
"Kevin I had to come back and stipulate that I could not get the image of a person squatting on the car and directing his shit on the car... as it was a good mound...
and what added insult to injury with BoyWonder was that while at the car wash trying to acquire the right amount of coins through the cashier, a man, a very suave , handsome man driving a $200,000+ Mercedes(I would not know such things... )offered to clean up my Citron for me... (Which he did)while BoyWonder acquired the coins for the same task..."
And there you have it...Nice is maybe not so nice after all, huh? Okay, I know, I know, dumb play on words. And just for the record Pend, NO! THAT WAS NOT A RELATIVE OF OURS'...Although, Will is partially French-Canadian. Wait a minute...What year was this? Hum...maybe.

I didn't care for Nice. I felt like I was at Disney Land in a way with all the Americans floating around...of course, it was July. I love Pendullum, yet Pendullum doesnt write posts as often as I would like to read!!! Tee hee.
Thank you so much for retrieving that comment for our enjoyment. That is a priceless experience! I would have laughed so hard...as I floored it!
Comments are my favorite part. I often go back to a post to see what folks have added. I wish there was a way to respond directly to the comments--a reply or reply all if you will. It's hard to have a real conversation.
PS--Not greek. But would LOVE to be your sister from another mister!
Thank you for the AMAZING compliment Mr. Charnas...
And you are right about the comments... I love, love love reading the comments on my site and on others... I lurk on yours for days as I howl at the comments that are made on your blog... You throw something out like, say? 'the topic for today is SHIT' and then it is like we are to talk amongst ourselves... (In our best Mike Meyers SNL skit)And a great deal of the time I will go to old blogs of mine or others and read the comments... some are absolutely brilliant!!!!!
I love the comments section too! Some of them are just as funny, sobering or insightful as the original post. I often return to the same post several times over the next few days to read them all.
And I love Pendullum too. Her posts are like diary entries or letters to best friends. She takes you right along with her as she experiences something. It's a rare talent to draw someone in that way.
The thing that amazes my dad the most about this blogging-thing is the strange little community you wind up wrapping yourself up in. People who've never met and maybe have nothing in common but the fact that they read something that touched them in some way. And then they keep coming back. I think it's pretty cool, myself!
Steppin' - My family lived in Naples, Italy for 3 years back in the late 50's early 60's, and my folks were vacationing up in Nice. My father was just off shore in a sailboat while my Mom stayed on the beach to take a picture of Dad on the sailboat and then she was going to swim out to the boat... Well, she did...and half way out to the boat, she realized that she was swimming through raw sewage. Yep, big logs floating all around girlfriend. She said that she wanted to scream and puke, but she kept her head up and just kept swimming, otherwise she would've freaked out and drowned. Yeah, she didn't like it either...
Mamma - You are very welcome. And...we're SO family...sista!
Pend - You're welcome sweets, but you've certainly earned it. Too funny, I would've given anything to have seen your faces!
Sayre - I couldn't agree more. It's been a surprising medium to me and I actually feel very grateful for it.
Too funny. And I do so love the comments you get on your blog.
PS - I just saw movie, The Queen last night, hence the "do so" in my comment. Cheers.
