That's One Hot Christmas Tree
I was recently getting my car worked on before our trip to New Mexico (tomorrow) and a woman who works there that I usually sit and talk with for an hour everytime I'm there, showed me this video of a Christmas tree catching fire. It is completely frightening how quickly the entire room is engulfed in flames and smoke (under 45 SECONDS!).
For those of you who celebrate Christmas (and with a live tree), please don't forget to water it...

SO scary! It's unbelievable how the most benign thing can be so dangerous.
Have a fabulous time in NM - I love the state. Where are you going? Las Vegas? T&C? Roswell? Ah - probably some place cool like Santa Fe.

Holy Shit. That scares the crap out of me. What a wake up call. Do fake trees to that too?
Have a wonderful trip. Just remember for your next trip, I fold up very easily and fit in your average suitcase...just sayin'.

Mythbusters (hello, i have 2 boys) did a special thing on trees going up and it turns out that more than likely a "spark" is the cause (not lights) but when they do light up that's it... get out of the house and call your insurance agent.
happy skiing... there is the BEST old books/maps shop in Taos... it's on that little cobblestone shopping street behind the main square... is that not the most worthless information ever?
