Dumb Idea # 3,457

So, I freely admit that I've had many dumb ideas over the years, but the next time I think that because we don't have a yard for the dogs to frolic in, that it's okay for them to bring sticks in the house to chew on, will one of you please remind me that this is not wise?

Yeah... those rawhide chewies aren't such a great idea either. They sort of melt and get stuck in the carpet, then dry and you have to cut them out with scissors (this may not be a problem if your dog is not excessively drooly).

Well, it depends on what kind of sticks they are. Termite-infested ones are better left outside, but a few nice, dry 2X4's can't hurt. Can they?

What? Your living room is now full of ants? Or did they drop debris all over the place and in in the weirdest spots. Dang that vacuum, but thank gawd for the hose!

I don't have a dog, so gimme a break! I'm winging it! Darn!

So are they chewing the sticks on your beautiful Egyptian Cotton 400 thread count sheets???
Beats what they could have brought in....

Sayre - HHAA!! That sounds worse...yuk.

Heart - it was just a mess, that's all...nothing major. Just a dumb idea on my part while we're trying to decorate for Christmas. There's glitter and splinters of wood EVERYWHERE.

Await - splinter of wood and bark all over the damn place. Next time maybe I'll let them chew on some dynamite.

Pend - VERY good point!

How about coming to Blogher? That's a dumb idea worth exploring, don't you think?

I'm not kidding... I'm starting a campaign.
