The Love Boat
My nephew and his girlfriend are here for their last day in Santa Barbara. They leave tonight out of Los Angeles. They're taking the red-eye, while Will and I have red eyes and pickled livers from drinking 700 bottles of wine with them in the last 3 days. The wake of their stay is littered with sake bombs, loads of fine food digested, empty wine bottles and lots and lots of laughter. We've had a great time and we'll miss them. Our livers won't, but we will.
So, until I can catch up with some blogging, I'll leave you with this gift from my nephew Nick. If you aren't fond of watching gravity work on people who happen to be around water, boats and docks, then I advise you to refrain from clicking on the link below.

What a gift!! Thank you so much, Kevin, because I have just laughed my ass off at that. I can't even pick a favourite. It was just the best EVER!
PS) Hope your liver is recovering.
That was fun!!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeee.
I can't imagine why I think other people's pain and suffering is so funny. But I do!
Too funny.
Reminds me of when Mr.T and I were first married, we went canoeing. Mr. T decided that he needed to make a pit stop on an island in the middle of the lake, which he did, but while he was doing so, our canoe started to drift away- with me in it, of course. Not being an adept nor an experienced canoe-r, I started to paddle away like a cat covering up shit. I went in circles, of course. Mr. T finally saved the day but almost tipped us over in the process.
We don't canoe anymore.
I cant believe how many people a) STAND on soapy decks b) JUMP onto boats c) try and get on boats that are drifting from the dock!!!
When I was like 12 years old. The whole family was at some bar on the water for dinner on a Sunday night. On Sunday's, the water was always very rough due to all the boat traffic. Well my Dad's Fireman buddy who was so drunk he could barely walk, tried geting on his boat and fell in between the boat and the steel seawall. The water was so rough, it kept mashing him between the seawall and the boat. Hilarty ensued when 4 other drunken Firemen tried to pull him out of the water. When they finally got him on dry land he was a bloody mess. Broken arm, cuts and scraps on his shins and back plus a bloody nose. Then EMS hauled him away to the ER after a huge "I'm alrighhht" fight.
On the bright side I got to drive his boat home. If only I had a Video cam!
Ha ha ha ha and Ouch! I grew up around my dad and his sailboat and believe me, I could have made a whole MOVIE out of some of our mishaps!
What a great pick-me-up for the afternoon!
