It doesn't matter who they think you are. It matters who you think you are.

A Prayer to Myself #2

Strive not to be simple in beliefs to myself,
But simple in approach to others.
To not associate Strength
With aggression,
To not mistake Kindness
For weakness,
To not confuse ignorance
With carelessness
Or arrogance
With Confidence.
To not condone any
Reckless behavior EVER,
That accompanies ignorance or arrogance.

To always Empathize,
Strive not to sympathize.
Sympathy is easy,
It’s Empathy that is the
Hard road to work.
And through this task
Always ask ‘Why?’
And try not to jump to a judgment,
Rather wait to take a leap of Faith
To an Understanding,
For the Truth always lies somewhere
In the middle.

No one ever said that
Truly
Understanding
Is easy.

And above all
Be Gentle
And Kind,
There are Feelings
EVERYWHERE.
